Milestones

Allow CBT license holders to ride motorcycles that have more than 15bhp while still maintaining the 125cc engine size. We think 25bhp should be the maximum power allowed on a CBT license for those aged 17 and older.

We think that 15bhp is an unsafe amount of power for a motorcycle. We feel it can be dangerous when turning onto roads with a speed limit of more than 40mph+ as some motorcycles cannot reliably reach the speed limit in time to ensure the rider can safely enter the road. We feel that 25bhp is a more reasonable limit as it will allow the motorcycle to reach the desired speed in time and minimises the risk to the rider and other road users and is also still manageable for inexperienced motorcyclists.
