We urge the Government to pass a law which requires mobile network operators to be legally required to provide customers with PAC codes for previous 07 numbers upon request.
We believe a mobile number is a critical commodity as it’s not only used for voice calls and text messages but for accessing critical applications such as messaging apps, banking apps, the NHS app and 2-stage authentication for accessing much more. We believe losing access to mobile numbers is a huge issue across the UK, and may cause severe stress, anxiety and an inability to access services without a recovery text being sent to the mobile number.
