We would like the Government to increase the minimum wage for care workers as we believe the wage they get is not enough compared to the work they do.
Statistics show that the national average wage for a care worker is lower than the average wage for other essential services, which we consider are of similar responsibility and demand. In the UK, the average hourly rate for care workers is just around £12, whereas the cost of living continues to rise, leaving many struggling to make ends meet.
