Milestones—
The adoption and special guardianship support fund (ASGSF) is currently available for children and young people up to and including the age of 21, or 25 with an education, health and care plan (EHCP). We think it should be eligible for all adopted adults up to the age of 25.
Adopted adults with or without EHCPs can experience trauma. We think that cutting off support at 21 is wrong and leaves adults without the support needed. We want the Government to help adopted adults to improve their relationships and their understanding of their life.
