We urge the Government to abolish all toll roads as we believe they unfairly charge residents who already pay road and council tax. We think they hit commuters and low-income families hardest, and that roads should be funded through existing taxes, not additional charges.
We feel toll roads are an unfair extra cost on drivers and often involve essential routes, leaving many people with no choice but to pay. We feel they hit hardest on low-income workers and daily commuters and contribute to cost-of-living pressures. We believe the Government should ensure fair access to roads and fund them through existing taxation.
