We think the limit of 1,350 should be raised. Many commonwealth citizens would commit long term and positively contribute to British Society.
It is reported the UK Armed Forces is losing an average of 300 more members than they recruit each month. I believe it makes little sense to limit commonwealth citizen recruits, including limiting the Royal Navy to only 300 per year. According to the Defence Journal, the Royal Navy and British Army only achieved 60% & 63% of its target recruitment respectively last year. I believe Commonwealth applicants who are motivated and willing to serve our nation should not be restricted from joining the UK military.
