Milestones

Regulate training providers. Create a national adult social care database of certified training providers and prevent ad hoc, inconsistent training delivery from care providers.

We think Adult Social Care training is currently inconsistent, repetitive, and may be of poor quality. Workers may be highly qualified yet may be required to repeat training they’ve already completed—sometimes at their own expense. We feel this lack of portability across employers wastes time and resources. We think creating a regulated national training database is essential to ensure training is recognised, transferable, and of consistently high quality across the sector.
