Milestones

Introduce regulation and independent oversight of hair strand testing companies used in family court. Require mandatory standards and accreditation to ensure accuracy, transparency, and fairness in decisions affecting children and families.

We think hair strand test results may decide the outcome of court cases,—yet these tests are unregulated, may be erroneous and we think lack independent oversight. False positives can devastate families. There are no governing bodies to ensure accuracy, accountability, or fairness. We think this must change to protect families and children.
