We think that any person convicted of serious sexual and/or violent offence(s) against another person with whom they share a child or children and receive a substantial custodial sentence of ten years or more, should automatically lose parental responsibility of said child or children.
We believe contact should be indirect only. We feel that survivors should not have to fight to protect their children after the perpetrator has been convicted, nor should they have to co-parent with that person.
