I call for a ban on parental controls for digital devices being used on legal adults without their permission, unless approved by a court of official.

I believe parental controls already result in creating resentment against the parent or guardian who has control. However it gets to a whole other level if the child becomes an adult and yet their parent still refuses to remove the controls. This can be a violation of free will, and on top of that I think these control apps could be used for mental and emotional abuse. I think once an adult, people shouldn't still be controlled by someone just because they were in their care as a child.
