We ask the government to amend current vehicle registration regulations to make front number plates optional. We think this would give drivers the choice to remove front plates without penalty, especially if it may benefit vehicle design, cooling, or performance, while keeping rear plates mandatory.
We think drivers should have the freedom to remove front number plates when it improves aesthetics or performance. We think many modern vehicles aren’t designed to accommodate front plates, and fitting them may block airflow, reduce cooling, and spoil design. We think rear plates and digital tracking would ensure accountability remains.
