I want to see a far higher standard of debate and decision making and bill consideration. We believe we need a higher calibre of MPs, with knowledge of Economics, Finance, History, Science. Anyone failing to pass these stringent exams would be barred from election.

I believe there is a risible standard of debate today, aggravated by the obvious lack of subject matter expertise. I think this also means that undue time is spent on current social issues (which can be relatively easy to understand) rather than more germane forward looking issues.
