We ask the UK Government to introduce a route for immigration overstayers with essential skills in healthcare or technology to live and work legally in the UK, if they meet strict criteria including having no serious criminal record and a proven ability to contribute.

The UK faces shortages in healthcare and tech staff, with many nursing and digital vacancies unfilled. Many overstayers have the skills to fill these gaps but cannot work legally due to their status. I think regularising their stay would boost the workforce, increase tax revenue, reduce exploitation, and support vital public services—offering a practical, fair solution benefiting both the country and these individuals.
