Milestones

1. Ban the use of ultrasonic pest repellent devices in shared residential buildings and public spaces. 2. Require disclosure and signage where such devices are used. 3. Promote other safe, science-based pest control alternatives. 4. Consider individuals with disabilities and sensory conditions.

Ultrasonic pest repellents can cause headaches, dizziness, tinnitus, anxiety to some people. They’re often hidden, making exposure involuntary. I think these devices lack proven effectiveness and may harm pets and wildlife, and that the risks outweigh the benefits. I think they can cause great harm to individuals who are autistic or have chronic health conditions. Everyone deserves to live, work, and learn in an environment free of invisible, harmful technology. Let’s prioritise health, safety, and inclusivity for all.
