Milestones

Amend immigration rules to increase the minimum residency period for ILR to 15 years. This change should apply to all visa holders, including those currently residing in the UK, to ensure consistent and long-term integration.

I believe the current ILR threshold does not adequately reflect a long-term commitment to British society, and that raising it to 15 years would better assess integration, contributions, and alignment with British values. I believe this policy should apply uniformly, including to current visa holders, to ensure fairness, reduce abuse the settlement process, and maintain public trust in the immigration system.
