We think terrorism law should only be used for serious offences, not to police non-violent actions and protest. We think acts that only involve damage to property in ways that are not directly harmful to human health or life should not be governed by terrorism law.
To protect civil liberties, we think the government should restrict the breadth of terrorism law. As it currently stands, we think terrorism law may be used to punish organisations for hurting the government's international standing.
