Milestones

Legislate to limit car engine size/power for drivers aged 17–24 & 74+. Create a "super licence" for high-powered cars, with age restrictions and advanced training to drive them. Align car licensing laws with motorcycle restrictions: we think this could reduce accidents & save lives.

Young (17–24) and elderly (74+) drivers are more likely to be involved in accidents, yet can drive powerful cars without extra testing. High engine power needs skill & quick reactions, which we think develop with age and training. We want Parliament to restrict engine size/power by age and experience and require a “super licence” for high-powered cars. We think this could reduce accidents, deaths, NHS costs and protect all road users, making roads safer while promoting responsible driving.
