Legislate to improve minimum accessibility requirements within the caravan/motorhome industry. For example, a 750mm minimum habitation door width and bracketry to allow installation of a cassette lift/ramp.
I want improved accessibility standards put in place because at the moment I feel disabled people may be discriminated against within the industry. There have been regulations within the housing industry for years with regards to door widths, access routes, activity spaces etc so why not for the leisure industry? There are electronic steps on many new caravans/motorhomes to assist non-disabled people to gain access, so why can't the same courtesy be extended to disabled people too?
