A life sentence is called a life sentence for a reason, yet some people may serve only 25 years. Make it law that if issued a life sentence, the convicted is not allowed release unless they are found not guilty until they die. Scrap parole for any life sentences.
We think that if a rapist is let out after 25 years, nothing is stopping them repeating their offence. We think that rehabilitation may be a waste of public money and it could be easy for a criminal to pretend to learn that murder is wrong then repeat. We think life means life, so follow through.
