We want the Government to require all commercial delivery and collection sites used by HGV car transporters to provide safe, designated parking and loading/unloading areas for drivers. We think this would improve road safety, reduce risk to workers, and prevent dangerous or obstructive stopping.

We think many HGV and car transporter drivers face unsafe conditions because delivery sites often lack designated parking or loading areas. We think this may force drivers to stop in hazardous or obstructive locations, risking accidents, fines, and delays. We think the absence of proper facilities creates safety risks for drivers, other road users, and pedestrians. We think requiring safe, designated areas would protect workers, improve road safety, and support efficient deliveries.
