We call on the government to reverse the decision to classify SOC code 3213 as below RQF Level 6, so that employers can still offer sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa route. If NHS practices are unable to continue to fill vacancies with migrant workers, services may suffer drastically.
When RQF Level 6 was previously a requirement for a working visa, it was possible to sponsor these roles under the equivalent SOC code (2219). We think there is no justification to reclassify these occupations at a lower level within the Immigration Rules.
