Around 60,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza since 2023 with at least 232 Gazan journalists killed according to Brown University Costs of War report. We are concerned UK journalists can’t get into Gaza. We urge the Government to make representations to Israel to allow UK journalists into Gaza
We believe press freedom is a universal right, and that banning foreign media is deeply unethical. We feel the situation isn’t getting any better – many Gazans are recording it on social media. Blackouts occur which make it harder to report. We believe the Government and Parliament has a duty to help journalists capture the truth to the general public. We believe impartiality can’t exist if the truth is unknown.
