We ask the Government to provide funding and support for teachers and educators in Gaza to help children access education, ensuring they have the chance of a future once the war has ended. They need new schools that are safe, and teachers to teach them, who aren't worried about being hurt or killed.
In Gaza, education has been completely disrupted since October 2023 for over 625,000 children and 22,000 teachers. Some reports indicate that over 21,000 children and more than 1,000 teachers and school staff may have been killed, and that around 90% or more of schools have been damaged or destroyed. We are shocked and want this to stop. Article 28 of the UN Rights of A Child says that all children have the right to education.
