Milestones—
We urge the Government to introduce legislation requiring all employers to clearly state whether visa sponsorship is available for a given role within the job description.
We think this measure would prevent unnecessary time, effort, and emotional labour spent by applicants who require sponsorship to legally work in the UK, only to later discover that the employer does not offer it. We think requiring this simple disclosure would promote transparency, reduce inequality in the job application process, and allow both employers and candidates to engage more efficiently and fairly.
