We think that large chains routinely slash the prices of their beers, wines, and spirits to levels independents often cannot match. They have massive buying power.

We are calling on the government to introduce a new legislative measure: Any company in the hospitality sector with 50 or more outlets must adhere to a minimum pricing threshold for alcoholic drinks — including beers, wines, and spirits. We ask that this be used to protect independents, who we consider are the backbone of Britain's hospitality.
