Ban any OFSTED visits and inspection of schools at certain times of year. Specifically, require them to not carry out visits and inspections during the first two weeks of a new term or the final two weeks of the academic year.
I believe the mental wellbeing of school staff is a critical concern, particularly given the inherent stress that may be associated with an OFSTED inspection. I think that while such inspections are always demanding, scheduling them during the final two weeks of the academic year or the first two weeks of the new term significantly heightens stress levels. I believe it places additional pressure on staff during already challenging periods, potentially impacting their mental health and overall effectiveness.
