Milestones

The Leng Review found no evidence that physician associates are unsafe—yet still recommends restrictions on the role. We think policy should be based on data, to protect patient care, workforce morale, and the future of a resilient NHS.

We think the Leng Review unfairly targets PAs despite finding no evidence of harm, to justify what we think are harmful changes. We think this risks worsening access, harming patients, and scapegoating a workforce that are passionate and proud of their care that they provide to their patients and support. We demand an urgent, transparent review and a suspension of policies based on this report. We think this is a matter of fairness, evidence, and protecting the future of a safe, sustainable NHS.
