Milestones

The government must publish frequent, up-to-date, full accounts of all taxpayer funds spent on asylum seekers, including accommodation, goods, services, subsistence payments, all other related expenses, and details of specific goods purchased.

We believe UK taxpayers have a right to know what tax money is spent on, especially when it comes to sensitive and controversial topics such as asylum hotels and support networks. Without detailed, regular accounts, we feel there’s not enough transparency or accountability. Publishing full accounts can help ensure public trust, help to prevent misuse of funds, and allow informed debate on government policies. We think this transparency can support better oversight and fairness in managing public resources.
