Milestones

Conduct an independent investigation into the Visa appointment booking system. Identify the causes of ongoing technical problems and slot unavailability. Review if the current system meets acceptable standards for public service delivery. Ensure transparency and accountability in services.

We feel these problems are affecting visa applicants, resulting in delays, missed opportunities and increased costs. Applicants can be unable to access any appointment slots for weeks or months at a time, despite using the system repeatedly and following all official procedures. We think these technical failures raise concerns about the reliability, fairness, and transparency of the service. The Government must ensure that technology is functional and applicants treated fairly.
