Reform tenancy law help prevent fraud and abuse by rogue landlords. Introduce mandatory landlord checks and reinvest in social housing to protect tenants from exploitation and prevent avoidable homelessness.

We think the private rental sector needs stronger enforcement and landlord ID checks to prevent fraud, harassment and illegal evictions. Over 11 million rent privately; 1 in 7 face unlawful behaviour. We believe that landlords can exploit six-month ASTs while social housing declines. We urge the Government to regulate landlords, enforce protections, and reinvest in secure public housing.
