Exempt all full-time students from paying income tax and national insurance while they are enrolled in full time higher or further education. Introduce legislation to ensure students are not taxed on wages earned during their studies.
Many full-time students already face high living costs, tuition fees, transport costs and rising debt. We believe taxing their income makes it harder to afford essentials and discourages them from working alongside their studies. We feel removing tax for students would ease financial pressure and support people in education.
