I would like it to become law that every publicly accessible car park has to provide parent and child spaces.
As a new parent, I find many car park spaces too small to safely get my child in and out of the car. While there are laws and guidelines related to disabled parking, there is no legal requirement for parent and child bays. I’m calling for legislation so every publicly accessible car park must provide wider, designated spaces for families. I believe this small change would greatly help to improve safety, reduce stress for parents, and make towns more accessible and family-friendly.
