We believe the Climate and Nature (CAN) Bill is the only science-led legislation comprehensive enough to tackle the current climate and environmental emergencies at the scale needed. We want Government to fully support this Bill and give Parliament time and opportunity to pass it.

The climate and nature crises threaten every aspect of our futures, which depend on urgent action to limit global heating, restore biodiversity and ecosystems, and ensure a liveable planet. We think existing laws fall short of the urgent, unified action we need to deliver commitments under the Paris agreement and Global Biodiversity Framework. We believe the CAN Bill could ensure fair, science-led targets, nature protection, real accountability, and above all, hope.
