We want the government to make it law that all dog breeders must be licenced and that each dog is only allowed a limited amount of litters in their lifetime.
We believe that many dogs are overbred by inexperienced people seeking profit and puppies often go to unsuitable homes or shelters. We are also concerned that overbreeding and poor socialisation could cause aggression, increasing dog attacks. We think licencing and limiting the amount of litters per dog could help ensure dog welfare and public safety.
