Scrap the Pub Code 2016 and amend the Competition Act 1998 to ban tied beer lines, giving pub tenants the right to buy and sell freely from any brewery, especially from independent and local UK producers.
We think banning tied products could give consumers more choice and fairer prices, while helping pubs remain viable. It could boost the UK economy by supporting independent breweries, creating local jobs, and keeping money circulating in communities.
