We call on the Government to change the law so unpaid County Court Judgments (CCJs) relating to private parking fines cannot be included in credit files, as we believe their inclusion can unfairly block access to mortgages and loans.
In our view existing CCJs from private parking should be removed from credit files as we think they unfairly harm access to mortgages, reduce buying power, and cause stress and loss of morale. We do not believe that parking disputes are the same as genuine financial mismanagement
