We believe delivery workers are often paid unfairly low fees. We urge the Government to introduce a mandatory minimum delivery fee: • £4.50 per delivery for motorbikes/scooters. • £4.00 per delivery for bicycles. We believe no worker should earn less than this for each job
Many delivery workers are classified as self-employed, and we believe they have little protection against pay changes. We are concerned that without legal standards, platforms can cut fees at will, leaving couriers struggling with various costs. We believe this proposal could: •Protect workers from exploitation. •Ensure delivery work remains a viable source of income. •Support safer, more sustainable working conditions in the gig economy.
