Milestones—
Replace the Disability VAT Exemption with 0% VAT on disability-related products, like books and children’s clothes, so companies with websites can sell disability equipment, services, and assistive technology products with no additional costs or barriers that may disadvantage such companies.
E-commerce and payment platforms may not support the eligibility questions and conditional logic required to legally implement UK Disability VAT Exemption eligibility questions and the subsequent possible VAT removal. We ask the government to implement zero-rated VAT on products such as wheelchairs, screen reading applications for blind people etc. which we believe are very specific to disabled people only.
