I call on the government to ban the additive aspartame/E951 in food and beverages. I think that the precautionary principle should be key to safeguard public health.
Whether it's soft drinks, desserts, chewing gum, or yoghurts; the use of the additive aspartame is common. The WHO's International Agency for Research on Cancer has classified this widely used sweetener as possibly cancer-causing, under some circumstances. Some research has also raised concerns about its long-term impact on weight control.
