We believe too many drivers are causing issues by obstructing footpaths and have not been deterred by fines, which can cause issues for the disabled, blind, families with small children and the safety of all people. Therefore, fines need strengthening as a Deterrent.
Footpaths must be for people and to ensure their safety which is paramount. Whilst we think people should be allowed to partially park on footpaths, fully blocking footpaths must not happen on the basis of safety. Increasing fines to a minimum of £150 could help deter them.
