Pass a law which funds free social care on the NHS for all disabled people. We believe it’s wrong that we have to pay a certain amount to the local council despite care costs being so high for many.
There is a limit to how much savings you are allowed to have before you have to pay the full cost of care. Many disabled people go over the limit, as the costs can sometimes be around £2000 a week, which is equivalent to living in a London-rented property for some. We believe the Government should pass a law that allows disabled people to have free social care that is fully funded under the NHS so that disabled people can work. Currently, many disabled people can't work as they can't afford it.
