Milestones

Reverse funding cuts to arts and humanities subjects in higher and further education. Increase funding to protect art schools and creative courses from closure.

Ensure more equal access to arts education. Recognise creative education as vital to the UK’s innovation, economy, and cultural identity. The UK’s creative industries generate £126 billion annually and employ 2.4 million people, yet we feel arts and humanities education is under severe threat. We urge the Government to reverse any cuts to arts and humanities funding, protect creative courses in schools, colleges and universities, and recognise arts education as essential to national culture, innovation and wellbeing.
