Fund and provide state-funded legal advice and representation for domestic abuse survivors with verified police evidence via an Emergency Legal Protection Certificate, which will be provided to survivors and allow them to receive immediate protection and support while navigating the legal system.
Domestic abuse survivors can face long delays, complex legal aid processes and financial barriers when trying to access urgent legal help. An Emergency Legal Protection Certificate could give anyone with verified police evidence immediate, state-funded legal advice and representation, which can reduce risk and trauma while easing pressure on charities that may be struggling to fill this gap.
