We call on the Government to launch a review into the information provided to women for cervical colposcopies and biopsies, in order to require anaesthetic or pain relief, and ensure the full disclosure of information for women before undergoing them.
We believe women are not given enough information prior to a coloscopy or biopsy procedure. Many are told it will be uncomfortable; however, this can be excruciating pain and a very traumatic experience for some women.
