Provide a single, UK Spouse visa path to ILR for all eligible couples; abolish the 5-year/10-year split and cap renewal costs. We believe this will be fairer.
I urge the government to simplify the spouse visa process with a single 5-year route. We believe the current 10-year pathway is unfair, discriminatory, and overly complex, often necessitating expensive legal assistance. A streamlined process could alleviate financial and emotional burdens, promote equality, and enable families to settle and integrate more effectively, allowing spouses to contribute positively to society.
