I would like Parliament to make it mandatory for anyone charged with rape to be remanded in custody until trial.

To many times we have seen instances of those charged with rape and let out on bail re-offend. There are also reports of some fleeing to another Country to avoid trial, despite supposedly stringent bail conditions. We want ALL persons charged with rape to be remanded in custody until such times as it is possible to bring their case to Court. We think this would help to safeguard the wider public in general.
