We would like to ask the government to mandate that all businesses serving food must provide the ability to order food in person, and to accept payments using traditional payment methods, being cash or card (no forced online-only payments).
More and more places stop taking orders in person and require all customers to use a website or an app to place their food or drink orders. While we do understand that this is to streamline processes, optimise space and reduce costs, online-only orders discriminate against those among us who are not tech savvy (i.e. elderly), people with disabilities (affecting cognitively and visually impaired the most), or those who simply do not wish to give up their sensitive personal details to order food.
