When somebody elected to represent a particular party changes allegiances they should be made to seek re-election as a representative of their new party
We believe that all too often we see Councillors moving from one political party to another, This does not bode well with the electorate who originally voted for them in the original election. This needs to change so that if any elected member changes political allegiance they should have to face a by-election and then the electorate decide who and which party represent them.
