Fund more student finance support for architecture students by funding increases to maintenance loans and a materials allowance to reflect the course’s high costs, long hours, and essential role in the UK’s economy and infrastructure.
Many architecture students face intense workloads, long studio hours, and heavy costs for materials, printing, and software. Many may experience debt or exhaustion to keep up. We believe architecture is vital to the UK’s economy, housing, and sustainability goals. Increased financial support could ease pressure, promote equal access, and recognise the essential role architects play in shaping safe, sustainable, and inspiring places for everyone.
