Milestones

Ban the selling of ultra processed food and drink such as sweets, takeaways, energy drinks, all added sugars, artificial sweeteners and sugar alcohols. It is the cause for obesity in our country. We think we need to eat single ingredient foods.

64% of the population over 18 years old are obese & statistics show it is increasing every year. Ages 2–10 12% are obese Ages 11–15: 19% are obese. Ages 10–11: Almost 1 in 4 children are obese in England Compared to the 1970’s where obese rates were between 1 - 2% in children. Effects of obesity: •type 2 diabetes •high blood sugar •poor mental health •fatty liver disease •joint pain •eating disorder •lower back pain •cancer •low confidence & more… Ever since the influx of takeaway, ultra processed foods, energy drinks, sweets & sweeteners in our supermarkets, obesity has risen in the UK. It is no coincidence.
